  1. What is a PO Box?

A PO Box is a private mailing address which allows you to maintain the privacy of where you live or work.

  2. How is a UK Postbox PO Box Service different?

UK Postbox doesn’t charge for the set up of your first PO Box, only for the mail received. You can read and manage your post online and have it forwarded to anywhere in the world. Choose from our top UK cities rather than being tied to your local sorting office.

  3. Setting up a PO Box, how long does it take?

The online sign up is quick and easy. Submit your up to date information, upload your documents and ID and we'll give you your address and account within 24 working hours.

  4. How much does it cost to get a PO Box address?

Set up is free (for your first address) and you can then choose either pay-as-you-go or a monthly mail plan. PO Box Pricing

  5. How do you set up a PO Box?

Visit https://client.ipostalmail.net/ to sign up and follow the simple instructions

  6. Can I collect my post?

Unfortunately you can’t collect your post because we operate a secure mail sorting facility and don’t allow customers to visit the premises. This is for the security of all of our clients. We can however forward your post to anywhere in the world and you can access it online.

  7. How long do you store my post for?

We store all physical post and parcels for 30 days. If you’d like us to store yours for longer please contact us for a bespoke plan. Your post online will be stored for as long as you like.

  8. How can I access my mail online?

Once signed up you can visit our app login page from anywhere in the world and access your account. You can also download our free iOS app from the App Store.

  9. How secure is the UK Postbox Service?

We intentionally chose to process mail at a single location in the UK, rather than having multiple satellite offices. This ensures that we have maximum security measures in place to monitor our premises, our staff and of course, your mail.
Our online mail system is hosted on UK based Microsoft Azure servers. We use HTTPS to encrypt all data between you and our systems and we’ll soon be launching optional two factor authentication, adding another layer of security.

  10. Where can I get a PO Box address?

You can choose from one of the following PO Box locations: London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Cardiff, Belfast and Poole. Your first address with us is free, but if you need more than one PO Box Address the charge is only £50 per additional location.

  11. What is a virtual mailbox?

A virtual mailbox is an online portal where you can log in to view and manage your post. All virtual mailboxes need a real-world address and post that is received to that location can then managed online.

  12. What if something needs to be signed for?

Typically it’s parcels that need to be signed for. If you’d like us to receive your parcels then you can use the free Courier Point Address in Poole. Letters sent through Royal Mail that require a signature will be accepted and processed in the same way as your other post.

  13. Can I have multiple PO box addresses?

Yes, with our service you can. Usually you're constrained to the geographic area of your local sorting office, but with our service you can have multiple addresses all over the UK, just bear in mind that after your first address, which is free, every subsequent location costs a one-off £50 setup.

  14. Will I pay for junk mail?

Most mailing houses which send junk mail will remove PO Box addresses from their mailing lists. If you do receive some junk mail you can choose how it should be handled, just like any other piece of post.
